The Great Big Green Week is the UK's biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature and a myriad of activities or organised in local communities across the UK. The main week is from 7 to 15 June 2025 but in Leighton Buzzard we have a month long programme of local events and activities hosted by a range of community groups and local shops such as The Refill, Ollie Vees Tiki Lounge, Crooked Crow Bar and others. The week is co-ordinated by Totally Leighton Buzzard (who run the Repair Cafe Leighton Buzzard) which takes place at the end of the month on Saturday 22 June 2025. Other groups involved are the Leighton Buzzard Art Society, Friends of Knolls Wood, Friends of the Earth. Events include litter picks, an upcycling event, clothes swish, walks and the 3rd annual Volunteering Fair.
