Community partners

Great Big Green Week runs from 6 to 14 June 2026, and there is a place for every kind of event. Whether you already have an event plan that falls during the week or you are planning something new, you are welcome here.

A community walk, a school nature day, a repair café, a garden open day, a local festival: if it connects people with nature and climate, it counts.

You don’t need to start from scratch. If you have an existing event that falls between 6 and 14 June, simply register it as part of Great Big Green Week and be part of the UK's only mass moment for nature and climate.

It takes minutes to add your event to the map, and it means more people in your area can find you, join you and be part of something much bigger.

London Rivers Week

London Rivers Week is a week-long annual campaign inspiring the public to celebrate all of London’s rivers and the many projects taking place to protect them. This year’s edition marks its tenth anniversary and is happening between the 23rd and 31st May. The overarching theme for 2026 is: “Know Your Local River” - encouraging Londoners to identify, explore and connect with their nearest river. The celebrations will highlight a decade of river restoration successes and showcase the achievements of the communities who have helped bring London’s rivers to life.

Plantlife

Plantlife is the global charity working to protect, restore and celebrate the wild plants and fungi that underpin all life on earth. Their No Mow May campaign encourages people to let lawns and green spaces grow wild through May and beyond, helping provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies and other wildlife. From clover and daisies to dandelions and longer grass, even small wild patches can make a real difference. As the season moves into June, Plantlife is encouraging people to keep experimenting with different grass lengths and spaces for nature, showing that wildlife-friendly lawns can still feel cared for and manageable.
