Organising a film screening

Organising a film screening for Great Big Green Week is easy and impactful. Simply follow these steps to get started:

  • Decide which film you would like to screen - review the list of films we have available below for Great Big Green Week and decide which one will be most impactful for what you want to achieve for your event.
  • Arrange a license for your screening - contact the relevant person (listed below) for your chosen film. They can advise you on how to secure your licence and any additional things you might need to think about.
  • Pick your date and venue: Choose a space that fits your audience or community -  it doesn't have to be a cinema! Town halls, community centres, sports clubs and outdoor spaces all work brilliantly. Check early that your venue can handle projection and sound, and whether they need a public screening licence.
  • Invite your community and get started! Share your event with friends, neighbours and local groups — the more the merrier. Head to our organisers hub for advice and guidance on how to make the most of your screening.

Whispers in the Woods

We are delighted that Dartmouth Films are offering  early access to the multi-award-winning Whispers in the Woods ahead of its official release later this year.

Whispers in the Woods is the most successful documentary release in France in the last twenty years. This profoundly transformative film is an ode to the wildlife that shaped Vincent Munier's life. Set in his native land, Munier invites audiences to seek nature's wild beauty on their doorstep. This nature documentary not only immerses the viewer within its sensorial landscape, but reflects on the power of generational bonds.
