School communities coming together for good

Woodford County High School has been involved in Great Big Green Week for two years in a row. Their activities and ambition grow each year, engaging more students, parents and others in their local community outside of the school - including their local council. They have run activities from food waste and composting workshops, sewing and repair workshop, and brought in a more climate conscious curriculum to the whole school. Their Green Week activities help students to develop leadership, bring the school and wider community together, and really highlight the climate and nature issues that are important to the school.

We spoke to members of staff and students about their Great Big Green Week activities, and the wider impact it's had for the school and their community - watch this short video to find out more!
