A Green Week is a collection of events and activities in one area.

For example, there might be 15 events taking place in Stoke Newington from 5th to 13th June. These events can all be linked to a local Green Week - for example, ‘Stoke Newington’s Big Green Week’. Think of it like a local market - the ‘Green Week’ is the market, and the ‘events’ are the stalls!

Events don't have to be organised as part of a local Green Week! We see many stand alone events pop up across the country under the Great Big Green Week theme.

Organising a Green Week and organising an event entail different things, and we’re busy updating our resources for 2027 to help you to do both!
