We are a community group in Wokingham running a Repair Café to provide a facility where people can bring in items for repair, rather than being thrown away, This means that things are being used for longer which reduces the volume of raw materials and energy needed to make new products. It cuts CO2 emissions, for example, because manufacturing new products and recycling old ones causes CO2 to be released. We hold regular repair sessions (on the second Saturday of every month) for people to bring in items which we will then try our best to repair.
