In celebration of The Great Big Green Week, we encourage you to get out in nature by joining us for a guided walk of the first leg of the Penrhys Pilgrimage (Llandaff Cathedral to Radyr). 2.5 miles with great views! (see below for opportunities to peal off early and return the Llandaff)
Gather at 11:30 in the Lady Chapel for a brief history and pilgrim's blessing. Please wear sensible shoes and clothing.
The walk will end near Radyr Golf Club (a great place for lunch after walking!)
Details of the walk:
Just over 2.5 miles. Easy walking. There is a hill on Radyr Court Road. Slow ascent from there on until you reach Drover's way. Steep gradient Drysgol Road to Golf Club. Walkers can leave the route at Radyr Court Road which comes out on Danescourt Way. There are regular buses going from Danescourt to Llandaff. Then walkers can leave the route and follow the Pylon path to Heol Isaf. They need to walk down the hill about 200 m to a bus stop. Five buses an hour back to Llandaff. Walkers can also leave the route at Woodfield Avenue where it meets Heol Isaf. Two buses an hour return you to Llandaff. End of walk, there are bus stops or the guide can walk people back to the Cathedral by a slightly different route.
