Live International Classroom Lesson: Voices from Malawi and Sierra Leone
Thursday 11 June, 11:00am–11:45am
What does climate change look like through the eyes of children living with its impacts every day?
Join The Climate Coalition and Save the Children for a free live international classroom lesson during Great Big Green Week. In this unique 45-minute session, pupils in the UK will hear directly from school children in Malawi and Sierra Leone about their experiences of climate change and how it affects their lives, families and communities.
This is a chance for young people to connect across countries and cultures through a real, live conversation – not a documentary or textbook lesson.
Teachers can also submit questions from their class in advance, with children from one of the countries answering selected questions live during the session.
The lesson is hosted by Edd Moore and will help pupils explore:
