Islington ACL Big Green Week – Celebrate, Learn, and Act for a Greener Future! Join us for Islington Big Green Week 9th – 13th June 2025, a week-long celebration of community climate action and sustainability. Whether you're passionate about the environment, eager to learn new green skills, or simply looking for fun and meaningful activities, there’s something for everyone. Throughout the week, you can book a wide range of free activities at various locations around the borough via Eventbrite, including: Cycle Maintenance Workshops– Learn how to keep your bike in top condition with hands-on support from our cycling expert. 🚴♀️ Furniture Upcycling Sessions– with the Archway Upcyclers, discover creative ways to give old furniture new life, reduce waste, and refresh your home. ♻️ Family Arts and Crafts – Enjoy eco-friendly creative sessions perfect for children and families, combining fun with environmental awareness. 🎨 Biodiversity Guided Walks – Explore Islington’s Riverwalk and learn about the local plants, insects, and wildlife helping to keep our ecosystem in balance. 🐝 Exploring Green Careers – Thinking about your future? Find out more about jobs that make a positive impact on the planet in these informative sessions. 🌍 Climate Change Webinars – Hear about the latest climate issues, solutions, and how we can all play a part in creating a greener borough. 📢 All activities are free to attend for residents but booking is essential. Booking is Via Eventbrite. After booking, you will be sent confirmation and details for the session.
