We’d like to welcome people to Woodcroft Community Orchard to celebrate a moment of nature flourishing.
We'll start with a welcome to the orchard and a tour of the kitchen garden. Then share herbal and floral teas from local produce, we encourage you to bring a picnic and relax in the space for the evening. We’d like to celebrate this time of year by sharing food and drink as a community.
We’ll also read summer poetry, have a moment to connect with the sounds, smells and sights around you with flower pressing. And there will be a chance to reflect on the year to date and set intentions for the year ahead. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your community and embrace the spirit of midsummer.
The event will be outdoors, on a slightly sloping site with a compost toilet.
Only service dogs are permitted.
We will share results from the i-Naturalist BS4 Bioblitz! Find out what’s been spotted over Green Week.
The orchard is located behind Woodcroft Road, find the lane next to 90 Birchwood Road which leads down to the allotments and Nightingale valley, follow this, pass the garages down to the double gates, the postcode is BS4 4QT. The track is quite steep and uneven, there is a turning space but no parking, W3W for the gate is ///calculating.effort.pinch .
