FoEF Balsam Bash and Evening Social

Join Friends of Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve for an evening work party and continue the i-Naturalist bioblitz. We will work together to pull Himalayn Balsam (invasive species), followed by a chat and an evening social in the park :-).

1) 6.30 am start: We will work for about 1.5 hours to pull Hymalayan Balsam (invasive species). No experience is necessary, and we accommodate different levels of fitness. However, walking on uneven ground is required, please wear good shoes and sun protection, and bring a bottle of water. To prevent ticks please cover arms and legs.

2) 8pm After the work, we’ll have a cup of tea and snacks (please bring your own mug and some snacks to share).

3) While we have a cup of tea, we can learn how to use i-Naturalist and continue the weeklong BS4 bioblitz. I-Naturalist is an international Community Science, we will share what’s been recorded by our community in BS4 on the final day of our Green Week.

--> Project Directions: Walk down the lane into Eastwood Farm from the bus-stop at Whitmore avenue. When you come to a car park, turn left down a lane to Eastwood Barn and meet at the picnic table in front of our green Tool Container (what 3 words: ///showed.warm.eggs).
