Food Waste and Anaerobic Digestion Webinar
- Date: June 08, 2026 - 12pm till 1pm
- Location: Online
- Organiser: South Kesteven District Council
Delivered by Lincolnshire County Council, find out more about what happens to your food waste and the benefits of anaerobic digestion.
Lincolnshire is currently rolling out a kerbside food‑waste collection service for residents.
The scheme aims to:
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by diverting food waste away from incineration.
• Increase recycling rates across Lincolnshire.
• Support sustainability goals by using the process of anaerobic digestion to turn food waste into biogas (used for energy generation) and fertiliser.
South Kesteven District Council has invited Lincolnshire County Council to deliver this online webinar in celebration of Great Big Green Week, with representatives from BioteCH4 on board to answer your questions.
Come along to this session to learn more about the scheme and what happens to your food waste once it is collected.
