Churches Count on Nature 2026
- Date: June 10, 2026 - 7pm till 8:30pm
- Location: St Peter's Church, Church Lane, Belper, DE56 1RE
- Organiser: St Peter's Church, Belper
Churches Count on Nature runs from June 6-14th. People record the wildlife found in their local churchyard. There are recording forms at St Peter’s church, however sightings can be written on a piece of paper and left in a box outside the church door. Details can also be emailed to [email protected]. We would love to have photographs as well. This year there is an opportunity to meet with others on Wednesday June 10th from 19.00 until 20.30. There will be refreshments and plenty of help with identification. The results are added to inaturalist which helps researchers track biodiversity, monitor climate change, and map species distribution.
