As part of Green Beats Festival, Tattenhall, we are proud to present a new play, Kith & Cynn, written by Lisa Ford and the Tattenhall Amateur Dramatic Society cast and inspired by the stories of local people.
From a downed Spitfire in 1941, to a tree protest in the 1960's, and forward to a community rehearsing Shakespeare on the same site in the 21st Century, Kith & Cynn (Kin) explores the relationship between the village and its trees. The cast of characters we meet along the way are strangely recognisable, echoing earlier generations and other stories. They will discover the tales that live in tree roots and are found in branches. In the end, finally realising that uncovering and letting go of the past is the only way forward.
This original outdoor performance is part of TADS Anniversary celebrations. Bringing live theatre to Tattenhall for 30 years!!
The performances have covered stage and seating, but please come dressed for the weather. Toilets, bars & food available. Both the main festival site and its access route are level and grassed; this may be hard work for some people with mobility difficulties. Parking available on nearby village roads - please park with consideration for our neighbours.
Tickets available (both the Green Beats main festival and Kith & Cynn) from https://greenbeatsfest.com/tickets
