Come and join us as we spend time in Vale Community Garden! We will be weeding the raised beds, planting more salad leaves (called successional planting, so we get a continuous harvest), and can plant sunflowers! We will also be setting up the long-awaited HOSE PIPE! Which will make watering much easier. If the weather is good to us, we can also continue with the painting of the Community Garden sign, and make some plant signs to let people know when things are ready to harvest. We'll have water and snacks as usual, and why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden when we are finished? All gardening gloves, materials and tools will be provided, just make sure you are wearing clothes you don't mind getting stained if you want to use the painting inks! Anyone can join in - our Community Support Officer Becca will be there to welcome you, and it's a lovely friendly atmosphere - come down and get to know some new neighbours! You can get involved in whichever activity takes your fancy, and do as little or as much as you want to. The raised beds make the gardening more accessible, and there are picnic benches to take breaks on when needed.
