The Nature of Charlcombe with Friends of Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve

Join the Bath Natural History Society on an exciting day of discovery at Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve! Enjoy two sessions: 1. Drop-in Session (11am) - Meet our expert naturalists and learn about the fascinating surveys they’re conducting around the reserve. Discover the hidden gems they’ve uncovered and get up close with the local wildlife. 2. Guided Wildlife Walk (1pm) - Embark on a FREE guided tour of the reserve, bringing the natural world to life. Booking recommended to secure your spot. Location: Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve, Charlcombe, Bath, BA1 8DS. About the reserve: Since 2024, nature-loving local residents have been working in partnership with Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council to create a wildlife haven in a new community nature reserve in Charlcombe Valley, Bath. The two fields that make up the reserve are owned by B&NES. We’ve already identified over 230 different species living in the reserve, including butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies, reptiles and amphibians, along with a variety of birds and mammals. It’s also home to a wide range of wildflowers, mosses, lichens and other special plants.
