About the reserve: Since 2024, nature-loving local residents have been working in partnership with Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council to create a wildlife haven in a new community nature reserve in Charlcombe Valley, Bath. The two fields that make up the reserve are owned by B&NES. We’ve already identified over 230 different species living in the reserve, including butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies, reptiles and amphibians, along with a variety of birds and mammals. It’s also home to a wide range of wildflowers, mosses, lichens and other special plants.
