The Boastful Pansy Storytelling, meet the author and plant some sunflowers
- Date: June 07, 2025 - 10:30am till 4pm
- Location: The Workhouse & Infirmary, Upton Road, Southwell, NG25 0PT
- Organiser: The National Trust

As part of Great Big Green Week we have some activities taking place around the inside and outside of the Property to showcase what we're doing at the Trust for nature, people and climate. Come along to hear Nottingham based author, Matt Terry, complete some live readings of his children’s book The Boastful Pansy at 11.00, 12.30, 2.00pm. Other activities on the day include planting a sunflower (and taking it home to watch it grow) and a chance to visit the second-hand bookshop where you can browse some great selections of children’s books which can be purchased by giving a donation. Funds raised from second-hand bookshops support vital conservation projects at the historic homes, gardens, countryside and coast in the National Trust's care. Your support will ensure these places thrive for everyone, for ever. These events are free but normal admission charges to the property apply.
