A family bike ride Heaton Moor to Wythenshawe Park Hall using local trails and the River Mersey

Come and join us for this free 12 mile family friendly ride along quiet roads and trails from Heaton Moor to Wythenshawe Park. It will be led by the bike ride leaders who regularly lead rides with Sustainable Living in the Heatons.

We will be visiting Wythenshawe Hall for the Centenary Celebration! There will be a chance to use the pump track and great trails within the park.

This 12 mile ride is designed for families. It is a free event but booking is essential.

The route is perfect for riders of all skill levels and is mostly on gravel or tarmac cycle paths. There are a few main roads to cross, and some minor roads. The gravel tracks can be rough in parts and we recommend at least 28mm tyres. Electric bikes and trailers are welcome.

The countryside on the Trans Pennine Trail at this point is very pretty, mostly wooded trials running alongside the river.

Please bring a roadworthy bike, a drink and perhaps a picnic lunch. Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please check the weather on the day and dress appropriately, we will cycle rain or shine!
