Climate Action Stokesley and Villages group are organising a range of activities during Great Big Green Week. During the week there will be displays in Great Ayton Discovery Centre, Hutton Rudby Community Hub and Stokesley Globe Community Library. The displays will have lots of information and ideas for action including free leaflets on making simple swaps in your everyday living that will have significant impact on climate change and biodiversity loss (and maybe save you money!). In addition to the displays the following are taking place: Saturday 7th June – launch of free Love Food & Reduce Waste recipe booklet by students from Stokesley School (available at all events) Monday 9th June 17.00-19.00 Stokesley Mending Circle, Stokesley Town Hall - a free new monthly group welcoming all to come to learn and share skills to mend or alter your clothing or textiles Tuesday 10th June 10.30-12.00 Yatton House Community Garden Working party, Great Ayton – all welcome to join in developing this wonderful community garden, sharing & learning gardening skills. Tuesday 10th June 13.00-15.00 Creative Nature Journaling Introductory Session, Discovery Centre, Great Ayton £10, materials provided. Booking required.
