A hands-on nature activity at Valley Walk Park, Hartcliffe, Bristol. The event will begin with a short introduction to the organising team, followed by a briefing on tool use and water safety. You’ll then get stuck in with clearing the stream and surrounding area of litter and rubbish, helping to restore this valuable green space for local wildlife and the community. After a break for tea, coffee, and biscuits, the second half of the session will focus on planting. You’ll hear a short talk introducing the different pond plants and the habitats they support, before helping to plant a range of aquatic and marginal species around the in the stream. Suitable for all ages. No experience necessary.
