Join us for a free, hands-on event to help clean and plant up the pond in Millenium Green in Hartcliffe! The event will begin with a short introduction to the organising team, followed by a safety briefing on tool use and working safely around water. You’ll then get stuck in with clearing the pond and surrounding area of fly-tipped waste and rubbish—helping to restore this valuable green space for local wildlife and the community. After a break for tea, coffee, and biscuits, the second half of the session will focus on planting. You’ll hear a short talk introducing the different pond plants and the habitats they support, before helping to plant a range of aquatic and marginal species around the pond.
