A team of talented and skilled volunteers repair your household items for free. Electricals, small furniture, textiles, clocks, toys and ornaments. We're at the Old Fire Station on Bridge Lane. Plenty of parking. Free entry, free repairs and free - and delicious homemade cakes too, but donations always appreciated. How it works: park up and bring your item in, no need to book. We'll ask you to complete a short form about you and your item and give you a large number, just so we can keep track of the queue. There may be a short wait while we match you up with a suitable repairer, but there's fairtrade tea & coffee, squash, and delicious cakes (often vegan and gluten free available!). Once a repairer comes free, you'll sit with them and they'll chat to you about what's wrong with your item and talk through what they're doing. 76% fix rate!
