A free, hands-on event is taking place in Withywood Park, next to the Malago River, combining nature recording with creative willow weaving. The event will begin with a short introduction to the organising team, followed by a safety briefing on tool use. Then, you will be able to get involved with planting a living willow structure, which will provide new habitat for insects and pollinators and a new natural play feature for the community. We’ll also be looking out for wildlife in the southern area of the park. During the planting session there will be a refreshment break with tea, coffee, and biscuits. Suitable for all ages. No experience necessary.
