Hillingdon Friends of the Earth presents a community screening of the People's Emergency Briefing on Climate and Nature*. The screening, one of many across the UK, will be followed by a guided discussion with the audience about what action we can all take locally and nationally.
The film presents a clear, measured overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life, and highlighting credible, positive ways to respond.
It brings together leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence. It shows how a de-stabilised climate threatens our economy, the nation’s health and security, and will push up food and energy prices. The film also features well-known personalities and members of the public responding to the expert analysis, interviewed by Chris Packham.
Seats are free but limited, so please book in advance, and please cancel if you change your mind. (You can cancel through the confirmation email you will receive.)
There is paid parking available at Ickenham Library car park.
The U1 and 278 bus stops are 2 minutes walk from the venue.
* The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) in November last year.
The National Emergency Briefing is a non-partisan project aimed at informing the general public on the latest situation related to climate change, and has support from a wide range of organisations, including the Royal Meteorological Society, Church of England, WWF and National Trust.
