Free screening of Fugolburna: a film about local chalk streams with Q&A

Did you know there are only 210 chalk streams in the entire world, and we are lucky enough to have one flowing through our local villages? Find out about the fragile and precious chalk streams of Cambridgeshire on Thursday 12th June, 7:30pm at St Mary’s Church, Linton at a screening of the beautiful film “Fugolburna”. The film shows the challenges faced by Fulbourn’s chalk streams due to the development of the Greater Cambridge area and the actions local people are taking to improve conditions and sustain biodiversity. The film screening (1 hour 10 mins) will be followed by Q&A with the film makers and other chalk stream experts. This is a free event, no need to book. Refreshments will be available, cash donations appreciated. Doors open at 7pm, film starts at 7.30pm. Presented by Linton Roots with Friends of the River Granta.
