Celebrating Great Big Green Week 2025, join Circular Newport at Llyfrgell Maindee Library for a special screening of the independent activist film Rave on for the Avon; Rivers that humans could once access and enjoy freely are now polluted and unsafe. From the River Usk, River Ebbw to the Afon Lwyd - our local rivers are in a dire situation, affected by raw sewage, litter and agricultural run-off. This tender film follows a local community’s fight to save their bathing spot in unique, daring & distinctly Bristolian ways. This film delivers a sense of urgency about the critical state of the River Avon and how much the locals rely on it for their health and wellbeing. It galvanises audiences to campaign for policy change in the UK and abroad. Doors open 5:30pm, film will start at 6:10pm. There will be an optional Q&A / discussion after the film has screened.
