Bee Wild

  • Date: June 14, 2025 - 11am till 4pm
  • Location: Hill Close Gardens, Bread and Meat Close, Warwick, CV34 6HF
  • Organiser: Bee Friendly Warwick

'Bee Wild' is an event showcasing local wildlife groups in Warwickshire, offering advice on how to help local wildlife. We have everything from Bees to Bats to Badgers. There will also be engaging demos on Weaving and Woodworking, activities and crafts for children and nature-themed gift stalls. Bee Wild is Saturday, June 24th, 2025, between 11 am and 4 pm. Entry is free, Hill Close Gardens would appreciate donations for their 30-year-old restoration appeal for essential repairs. We have poetry by Matt Black, music and Fletcher & the Bee by local author Julia Rawlinson. The crafting activities include rock painting, card stamping, seed bombs and flower pressing. An insect search at 2 pm, both to find the painted rock and the find-the-letter trail around the gardens. Children who come dressed as insects will receive a small treat! Bee Friendly Warwick has more information and leaflets on the best plants for pollinators throughout the year, as well as a list of plants to buy. Families can add their wildlife-friendly garden (or intention to create one) to a local map, allowing us to connect habitats across Warwick. Plus, examples of good solitary bee houses. There will also be honey, bee-themed gifts, art, aromatherapy soaps, knits, bags, and jewellery to buy. We expect it to be a fun day with something for everyone to enjoy. So come on down and find your wild side, more details here: beefriendlywarwick.org or see our events page or look at our public Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/beefriendlywarwick
