BCMG - Bird Fanfares Concert

David Hindley (1933-2018) - “a man who writes birdsong” - transcribed into musical manuscript the songs of birds, allowing these avian melodies to be perceived and appreciated by human ears in new ways. Our concert celebrates Hindley’s music, paired with other works inspired by birdsong from Olivier Messiaen. David Hindley dedicated his life to the transcription and composition of contemporary music rooted in ornithology. He was a true innovator, whose passion and dedication to raising awareness and protesting against the decline and extinction of birds is something we want to highlight and celebrate with our performance. Tickets: General £18, Student £9, under 12s FREE with a paying adult
