North Bristol NHS Trust invite staff, patients and the community to an introduction to community gardening, nature and art for health at the Southmead Hospital Allotment. Create a watercolour spray print using natural materials, get involved in planting, digging, watering or weeding and learn about the benefits of nature on your health and wellbeing. Location: Southmead Hospital Allotment, North Bristol Trust Learning And Research Centre, Bristol, BS7 0UL (access via the footpath from Monks Park Avenue or the stairs next to the Learning & Research Building). Unfortunately, the space is not currently wheelchair accessible due to construction works. Who is this event for: Members of the local community, staff, patients - there are no restrictions. More information: The event will fall during our weekly Community Allotment Session, so people will get a chance to have a taster session, this includes getting involved in planting, watering, weeding or just enjoying socialising outdoors. There will also be stall showcasing information about the benefits of nature on our health & wellbeing. There will be an art and nature event being run throughout the two hours: nature spray painting. Attendees will gather nature materials from the space (e.g. leaves, flowers), then spray over with liquid watercolours to create a cyanotype style print.
